THE DREAM
Living the Dream though are the immortal words of the honorable Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr., continues to resonate throughout the world. Diamikes Management
Ministries LLC is a direct result of not only pursuing
the dream but making ones dream a reality. There are
many
facets of “Living the Dream”. Dr. King was not afraid of sharing
his dream and dared to live it. The dream he dreamed was the ultimate in a
mountain top experience!
The legacy
of Dr. King Jr. lives on in each of us. However we must realize and appreciate
that though Dr. King Jr. was the man behind the dream, there were others before
and after him that continued to carry the torch.
The “I Have a Dream” speech is still today the most profound speeche
in our HISTORY. As DMM journeys from our past, we see there are valuable lessons
we’ve learned and experiences that have perpetuated, & propelled us
to what we see and are today. As a people we have a rich heritage that is strong.
However DMM believes that what Dr. King saw was not segregation but us as a
nation and not only as a people that would come together as one. While we’ve
not come into the total equality and unity of brotherhood, many strides have
been made. Today we have our historical Black Colleges, we have successful African
American CEO’s, Astronauts, Political Officials, Blue Collar professions
and what was once non-African American White Collar.
Granted we have and perhaps will always have prejudices and ignorance of those
who refuse to accept change, who fail to realize we’re one people with
multiple races that bleed the same, cry the same, share lose the same, yet we’ve
come a long way. We’re proud to be continual builders of those who’ve
laid the foundation before us. Our concern today is that we do not loose momentum
nor lose the ground we’ve gained. The dream begins to die when there’s
a continual rise of Black on Black crimes, lack of resources for our men &
women, education on a decline. DMM promotes and strongly encourages our youth
of today to thrive & thirst for education & share the experience of
living the dream. To achieve this DMM realize we must promote not only opportunity
for our own but embrace the mechanism that allows one to accept difference so
long that it does not impede upon the rights, liberties, and beliefs of an individual.
As we ride through the Hall of Dreamers, the Dr. Kings, Bishop Mason, Rose Parks,
Meager Evans, Doris Day, Lou Rawls, Hank Aarons, Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson,
Oprah Winphrey, Benjamin O. Davis, Sr, Robert H. Lawrence, Jr, Alexander Augusta,
Rebecca Lee Crumpler, Kenneth Chenault, etc, we realize that we’re actually
living the dream. We must be careful not to put on nor allow success to cause
blindness, but continue to provide opportunities for those who shall follow
us, giving them HOPE! When hope is lost we have no tomorrow to look forward
to, when FAITH is gone we have nothing to believe in. Thus we trust in the creator
of all things that He will continue to give us wisdom & understanding of
how to show & share His love.

The Dream Award" and 1 Life Time Achievement Award. Now is the time
to begin submitting your ideal person that continues to persevere and make
a difference in the lives of others & in their communities. We have
a commitment to EXCELLENCE that is without prejudice in accordance with
Biblical Principles, Standards of Integrity & Beliefs. Applications
will be made available & downloadable from September thru November.
